This is one of the most unique dining experiences at Folly Beach. The food is always exceptional and made to order, the menu seems to vary slightly with every visit, and dining in always means dining outside. Pet friendly, no roof overhead, so don't plan to visit in the rain.

Surfer enthusiasts may find the best waves at a hidden beach area known as the Washout, while its important to understand that local surfers are territorial of the space around them in these waters. Accessing this beach is kind of tricky since you drive down the road that leads to the lighthouse to get there.
This area was wiped out by hurricane Hugo over 20 years ago, and has always been the place for surfers to go.

There is a Harris Teeter across the street from the condo and only 2 miles from the beach, but what if your already at the beach and hungry? Bert's Market is a short walk from the beach and you can pick up a picnic meal, beer, wine, or any kind of drink for that matter here. Make sure you have a plastic cup if you take drinks back to the beach; alcohol on the beach will get guests an unwanted citation. They offer FREE coffee all day too. Most locals stop in for a hot dog with all the fixings for under a dollar. This is a terrific little market at the beach. Dog friendly grocery store!

History everywhere you go. This is where all the Civil War Generals lived. There is a fort there, and a great little strip of restaurants. Poes has great fish tacos and Mamacitas has great Mexican.
