This place is a Virginia Beach CLASSIC!! I used to get lunch there when I was a lifeguard on the beach working for the old Ocean Rescue Service during my college days. I still go there on my own some mornings for breakfast. Downside is it's very small and in the summer months, there's usually a wait.

Open and Friendly Local Vibe, Good food, Amazing/Casual Beach Atmosphere, extremely kid and family friendly, along the Lynnhaven River and Chesapeake Bay for great views. Kids can walk along the dock and look at boats if they're bored while parents can hang out and relax at the table.

The historic Cavalier Hotel has been recently renovated to a 5 Star hotel, restaurant and distillery. It's pricey but it's also amazing and a great, high-end evening for the adults in the party.

This is right on the beach on 57th St. and only a 5 block walk or bike ride away. The Wyndham Hotel is the only hotel north of 43rd St., has a nice restaurant and bar as well as an outdoor patio area for a casual meal or to just sit and have cocktail. In the evenings they typically have some light entertainment on the patio. Great place to sit and relax at the end of the day while the kids play in the sand.
