Although the name is sweet and simple this is a special little diner that serves authentic German food. Breakfasts are the featured items, so is the German coffee. One of our favorites is the Black Forest Breakfast. Arrive with a big appetite! Typically open until 2pm. The Chetek Café relocated recently in downtown Chetek near the Kwik Trip.

You've probably selected our Airbnb because there are MANY outdoor recreational activities in this region of 449 lakes and 4 rivers! We are nestled in between the Chetek, WI vacation area, the National Ice Age Region, Blue Diamond Vacation area and the Blue Hills. Each season there is something to do! Here are ideas to get you started: Swimming, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, birding, foraging/herbal walks, SUP's, campfires, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, downhill skiing, tubing, snowboarding...plus plenty of Northwoods pubs for nightlife. Ask the host, Gigi, for ideas. She has been on the Chippewa County Tourism board and has been a past Travel Green Wisconsin business owner.

The town of Chetek is a short drive from our Airbnb, Nordic Naturals. Approximately 10 minutes. All basic amenities that you'll need...small grocery store, liquor store, bait ship, marina, small library, bars, cafes, shops, a Family Dollar that caters to tourists. And of course a Kwik Trip (gas, LP tanks, ice, fireweed bundles, etc).
