Tawlet Aamiq developed, designed and built in harmony with, and respect for, the land and its people. The local traditions, the people and the village. The village of Ammiq is set in west Bekaa, one of the most fertile parts of the Bekaa Valley. It sits on the eastern slopes of Mount Lebanon, a few meters above the valley, and is nearby the wetlands that are the pride of the village. The area is also one of the most important in Lebanon for wine production.

Founded in 1857 by Jesuit Priests who produced the country's first dry red wine, Château Ksara is Lebanon's oldest, largest and most visited winery, attracting some 40,000 visitors per year. We personally love the underground galleries carved under the winery.

Famous Roman Temples (Jupiter, King of the Gods, Bacchus God of Wine and Venus Godess of Beauty) In Greek and Roman antiquity, it was known as Heliopolis. It still possesses some of the best-preserved Roman ruins in Lebanon, including one of the largest temples of the empire. The gods that were worshiped there (Jupiter, Venus, and Bacchus) were equivalents of the Canaanite deities Hadad, Atargatis, and another young male fertility god. Local influences are seen in the planning and layout of the temples, as they vary from the classic Roman design.

Inaugurated in 2004, this Bekaa rural museum is located in a traditional home of the Rami family. This remains a testament to the richness and specificity of traditional local architecture. It is built in dried bricks, then coated with earth and then heated. Its roof consists of a wooden frame covered with rocks and land. The house is compartmentalized in several units: Liwan, living room, reserve where the summer harvest was stored. The other rooms have been arranged in the exhibition room and in the shop. The storage spaces sometimes embedded in the walls will be noticed. Outside, a garden returns the agricultural landscape of the Bekaa plain. If the door is closed, you must call Mr. Jean (+961 3 283 850) which will open you.
