They have great Peel 'N Eat Shrimp with a nice lake view and is about a 20 minute drive away from TriVista Lago. The food is so-so, but the view of the lake is nice. I always order the spicy peel and eat shrimp with hush puppies.

Walden Market has a cafe (Tejas Cafe) with great food for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They have awesome breakfast tacos and their Big Daddy burger (or Big Boy; can't remember) is to die for! They also have a great grilled chicken sandwich loaded with bacon, cheese, and other stuff. We normally call in ahead of time and pick up our oder. There are a couple of small bistro type tables inside the market, but it's better to pick up and go. The market itself is a small convenient store and is close to TriVista Lago.

We love the Yaht Club! They have great happy hours with free snacks, a delicious brunch buffet, and a nice dinner and wine selections. I love the Ceaser Salad made table side. It’s delicious! Ask for less dressing if you don’t like it dripping in yumminess! I haven’t had anything for dinner that I didn’t like!

This is a great place for Mexican food and strong margaritas! They have happy hours every day. The pico and salsa is fresh, service is great, and food is excellent! It’s only 10 minutes away.

This place is located downtown Conroe and worth the drive if you’re itching to get away from the lake for an evening. The venue is small and gets crowded pretty quickly especially when they have live music. They have a nice menu selection and make good craft cocktails. One of my favorite dishes is the Pistachio Crusted Chicken. The pizza is good too! I have never had a meal there that I didn’t like. The drive back can feel much longer after a cocktail or two. Taking an Uber might be the best way to go unless you have a DD.

Taking an Uber might be the best way to go unless you have a DD.

Scotts Ridge day use area is located on the west edge of Lake Conroe approximately 2 miles North of FM 1097 on Forest Service Road 212.
Next to the Scott's Ridge boat launch area is a day use area with a swimming beach and picnic sites. There are 3 picnic shelters with grills.
It's open year round and cost is $5.00 per day per vehicle and boat launch.
