If you've been to Europe, you will definitely want to spend a meal here. It's modeled after Belgian gastro-pubs. If you don't know what the heck that means, it means that you will find a constantly rotating selection of amazing beers (local and international) alongside locally sourced/made from scratch, artisan food. The weekend brunch is the best in town, the rest of the menu is even better than the prices would suggest, and their late-night happy hour is a must if you're out late.

The deli food and coffee here is good, but the real draw is gelato. If you're thinking of a dessert stop, go here. Yogurt Extreme and Dairy Queen can be done anywhere, but this is where you really should be going. Gelato. Enough said.

Great pizza and atmosphere right near the river, downtown. Before you follow the crowds to American Dream Pizza, which I've never been too excited about, try out this spot. They've got a great product and lots of great specialty pizzas.

These donuts are soooooooo good. They have one style of donut, and you pick the toppings. They also have good coffee and all the regular coffee shop stuff, so take a bit out of your morning and go relax with a donut that's great, but not some pure-sugar, white-fluff Kreamy thing. They do also have great gluten-free donuts for those that need or like to go GF.

It can be busy, but there’s a reason for that. I’d describe the food as hipster tacos. Great drink and beer options, which you can have while you wait. Go midweek or early, and the wait isn’t too long.

160 NW Jackson AveSky High has nice outdoor seating, there is a great 360 view on the roof top where they serve appetizers and drinks. The food is good (a little more gluten free friendly) and the beer is good as well. Sky High is a few blocks away from Block 15 in beautiful downtown Corvallis.
Great food and will have music several nights. Check their website. Close to OSU campus.

Enjoy a sandwich and beer while taking in great views of Mary's Peak and watching the brewers do their thing in the production facility. Please note that there is a 64oz growler that you are welcome to use during your stay if you'd like to take some tap beer back to our rental.

Parks & Nature
This is a nice natural area with several different hiking routes. There is a long concrete path and if you want to get off the concrete path and venture up the hill there are several paths that lead you up to a beautiful view of Corvallis and the Coastal Mountain Range.

On clear days, you can see the Cascade Mountains in to the east and the faint horizon of the Pacific Ocean to the west. You can drive close to the top if you don't want to hike a long distance, or you can park a little lower and make a longer hike out of it.

Peavy Arboretum
Northwest Peavy Arboretum RoadThis is a place we go with our kids all the time. It's close to town, has a fun/beautiful network of trails for hiking and mountain biking (some are closed to bikes from Oct - May), has a little pond toward the top, and has a u-pick blueberry patch close by during the summer.
This close-to-town spot has some great old-growth, bridges, and beautiful terrain. The trails aren't suitable for hiking strollers, but our 4-year-old does it without problems. From the parking lot, there are trails on either side of the road. The good hiking trails are on the East side of the road, but lots of mountain bikers like to do the forrest-service trails to the west.

During the summer, it's nice to take in a laid-back baseball game. They won the WCL title in the summer of 2016, so the team is good. But the tickets are cheap, and they serve good, Block 15 beer at the stadium.

Not only do they have the best selection of tea, coffee, and associated supplies, but they have two generations working in the store and have a knack for remembering us and asking about our family, including Rachel's mom who visits just once a year. They will make you feel welcome and at home. And did I mention that they've got the best coffee and tea selection in town?
