Drinks & Nightlife

It's just two blocks from the bungalow, and it's a cozy spot to grab a drink. On a nice night, I love sitting out back in their patio area [it's easy to miss!]. They also put out great food, so it can double up as a nice dinner option!

If you're out on The Beltline and are in need of a break, drop into Ladybird. It's located directly on The Beltline, just past the Inman Park neighborhood. They have great drinks and do a fantastic burger, but the real reason to come here is for the ambiance. It's got a great indoor/outdoor feel and is the perfect place to people watch or have a day drink. There's also a gravel area that's dog friendly!

Food Scene

Easily my favorite cup of coffee in Atlanta! They have a couple locations, but this one is within walking distance and has a fantastic open air patio with modern rocking chairs. If you're lucky [and get there early!] you can snag a giant swing bed to relax on.

Ever since Ponce City Market opened, this is the one place I've been to more times than any other! Whether it's just for a margarita [and they do fantastic, fresh margaritas] and some chips and salsa [the salsa trio is incredible!] or a few tacos [I've tried them all and you really can't go wrong], this is just a great staple spot and so close by! I love that you can sit inside or out on the covered, open air patio overlooking the shops at PCM.

8Arm has quickly become my go to coffee, breakfast, brunch, anything spot. I have to admit though, I'm a bit biased. Being three blocks from my house, I'm here a lot. Like every week a lot. Yes, I come because of the convenience of it, but it's more than that. I come for the feeling, for the ambiance. As a designer, a well designed space goes a long way for me, and 8Arm is modern and clean with a hint towards vintage. For the constant food photographer and instagrammer, this place is a dream. When I look around, there are people eating, drinking, chatting, working, reading, laptopping. It's a unique hybrid between a coffee shop and a cafe and I love both.

Parks & Nature

This park is beautiful and often missed, but being just off The Beltline and across the street from Ponce City Market, it's an easy walk. You can bring a blanket and have a picnic in the grassy area, or head further in and down to the pond [which has become a beautiful sanctuary for birds].

Shopping

It's just a short walk from my bungalow [just off The Beltline], and it's quickly become a highlight of any trip to Atlanta! It's a beautiful example of historic restoration mixed with modern design [head to PCM's website to learn more!] There are plenty of great restaurants, cafes and shops to wander around. There's mix of nationally known stores, to more local finds. There are plenty of tables and benches indoors and out to sit at, and is a great spot to people watch. It can get pretty packed on the weekends, so head early or later if you'd like to miss the crowds. My favorite time to go is during the week, when I feel like I have the place more to myself!
