Their lobster roll has a full pound of lobster meat in it. Nuff said. Full seafood market, with great selection of wine and beer. Other food available, no dine in. They sell live Maine lobster and will cook it for you for convenience. My favorite lobster roll joint outside of Red's in Wiscassett.

The greatest ice cream in the WORLD. In my humble opine. I recommend the killer frappe, black raspberry, 32oz of ice cream. You know you want it. They have several other flavors, all made locally. The Giffords lived up on Salmon Rd, where our cottage is, for many years. A trip to Giffords should be an everyday trip while here. And buy a t-shirt to impress your friends with your Maine stylings.

Parks & Nature
Moxie Falls is well worth an hours drive north. It is quite stunning. You need to hike in, about a mile, of the easiest hiking trail ever. The falls come down from the lake above in a stair step fashion with lots of pools below each drop. Bug spray recommended.

503 Lake Moxie Rd Moxie Falls is well worth an hours drive north. It is quite stunning. You need to hike in, about a mile, of the easiest hiking trail ever. The falls come down from the lake above in a stair step fashion with lots of pools below each drop. Bug spray recommended.
You can get equipped by a registered Maine guide and canoe, or kayak down the river. Guide will pick you up at designated spot. Great way to spend a nice afternoon. I have done it several times. I usually use Abnaki Outfitters for gear.
