Want to walk in a new growth forest? I have been very safely lost in here for at least an hour on two separate occasions and it was wonderful. The park is basically a mess of winding trails. 25 blocks of managed forest. It's very zen. Stanley park is for people who want something to put on their facebook status. This is the place you go if you really want to relax or go for an amazing run. Parking is easy on 16th Ave.

They will ask you to see a doctor to get a note signed within three months of signing up. You can do that if you like. The dude who runs it is nice.

Commercial drive used to be a hub of the Italian Community. If you want to hang in an old Italian coffee shop full of colourful locals check this place out. It's friendly, the food is simple but good.

Some day this place will end up on a museum wall. Books will describe this place as one of the legendary institutions that it is. For now you can still met Joe and his partner who are still working there in their golden years. The service is still excellent even though nothing has been updated.
It was probably once an Italian joint now it's full of older south americans and africans hanging around along the building mural and shooting the breeze. Lots of charming grey haired white dudes who can still remember when yale town was a bunch of warehouses.
It's probably a good place to watch soccer and whatever team is playing, you're bound to find people from that country there.

You're not going to find a better burger south of kingsway. These guys are the real deal. Second generation family owned business that's been in operation for fifty years. Do yourself a favor. Skip the fast food joint and take a trip in there. If you're heading out for the day and want to grab a burger for the road, they are chill enough to take your order on the phone.

Be here on April 14th when the Sikhs close up Fraser street and fill the place with free food tents and a neverending parade. It's Baisakhi and it's awesome.

It's a growler joint. Classic bring your jug and get it filled cheap micro brewery place. I have some empty jugs in the kitchen somewhere. Feel free to fill them up and try out the beer. Please leaves the jugs at my place though!

If you don't want to stop and sit down, grab a smoothie, or make those little salad rolls with peanut sauce. It's a great hit and run healthy joint.
