The kitchen, directed by internationally acclaimed Michelin-starred chef Josh Emett, All tables have great views of the harbour. It was the view that gets me every time. Emett focuses the food on being modern and produce-driven, as well as classic brasserie dishes such as bone-in scotch fillet. I have heard the tuna is good. Ostro Sunday Roasts from June 12-5pm. Mission Bay is one of Auckland’s most popular beaches, with its iconic 1950s fountain, old mission house – now a cafe – and perfect picnic spots. There are kids’ playgrounds at Mission Bay and St Heliers beaches. If you feel like a detour, walk up to Bastion Point, a historical site with incredible views (allow extra time). The pathway along Tamaki Drive is shared by pedestrians, rollerbladers and cyclists. The walkway is completely flat, so is suitable for every level of fitness and accessible for prams.
