This is an amazing Italian restaurant in the wilds of West Wales! Homemade pasta, deftly sauced, wide range of fish and other main dishes. Perfect ending to a day out exploring the coast line between Cardigan and New Quay. This is down what feels like a mere track. Do not worry, persevere. Look their website up for better directions. Wales is the country of hidden places, and this restaurant confirms my view.

1 Quay ParadeThis place has the advantage of being right on the Harbour. Lots of people love it. Get a reservation in the restaurant. The bar is loud and the food not as good. Personally, I prefer one o the other restaurants recommended in my list below but this is handy if in Aberaeron.

aking a drive to Pantyfod gardens is well-worth getting out the OS map for. This drive will take you up towards some spectacular scenery beyond Tregaro. There a several acres of gardens to explore and a wonderful pizza terrace in the summer. The pizza is worth the drive. Baked in a proper kiln. bake-house. Hard to categorize whether this is a place to eat, sightseeing, parks & nature -- definitely all of these but Airbnb forces me to pick just one.
Pantyfod Gardens
aking a drive to Pantyfod gardens is well-worth getting out the OS map for. This drive will take you up towards some spectacular scenery beyond Tregaro. There a several acres of gardens to explore and a wonderful pizza terrace in the summer. The pizza is worth the drive. Baked in a proper kiln. bake-house. Hard to categorize whether this is a place to eat, sightseeing, parks & nature -- definitely all of these but Airbnb forces me to pick just one.

MUST GO HERE!!! The baked goods are out of this world. Curates wonderful organic produce and unusual food and wine from around the world. Do not be put off by its location on an industrial estate. The shop is lovely. Get a coffee to go.

Local national trust estate. Lovely gardens. Good footpath from the estate to Aberaeron if you want a good flat 5K run or walk along the river side. Very peaceful.

Learn about the tradition of Welsh quilts from the authority -- Jen Jones. Shop at ground level and usually an exhibit upstairs. Lovely. The cafe across the street, Granny's cafe is the best in Lampeter, selling lovely cakes, ice cream and old-fashioned sweets.

Best beach in a small cove. When the tide is out you can walk quite a distance. Beach food, pub, and other small shops are practically right on the beach. Lovely drive down the backroads to this small village. Visit the statue of Saint Grannog overlooking the village for a lovely view.
