Parks & Nature
There are two large lakes and lots of trails to walk on. You can access this by car by driving out of the village southwards, passing through the little hamlet of Ash ( which is one mile out of the village) and about 100 yards further on there is a little parking area on the left. Or you can walk there by going to the top of the drive and turning left down the stone track. After about 300 yards you will come to a track off to the left. Go down this track and ove the bridge. This is the Tarka Trail. Turn right and the nature reserve is 50 yds further on. Dogs are allowed on leads.

People dress in period costume and show you how they would have lived in those days-fascinating! They also teach you how to load muskets- sometimes.

9-11 Fore StNot just films but theatre too and it's also a music venue. There's also an excellent licensed cafe here. There are art exhibitions, craftwork exhibitions and you can just pop in and have a cup of coffee and wonder around the exhibits. Very laid back and nice!

You can watch them making the glassware, taking the molten glass out of the furnaces, turning it round on the rods, blowingit-brilliant! And then there's the shop selling the famous Dartington glass crystal ware.

The legend is that they were seen dancing on a Sunday and so were turned into stone but each Sunday at 1pm they dance again. There's also an old village stocks in Belstone itself.
