Rheinaue is a great park relatively close to the city center.
You can either take the subway across the street ( number 66 towards Bad Honnef or number 62 towards Oberkassel ) and jump off at the station called "Rheinaue", or walk next to the Rhein until you reach there. It would take you approximately 30min to walk.

Continuing to the next bridge ( Friedrich-Ebert-Brücke ) you will probably meet a lot of dogs since there is a large meeting point for dogs at the end of the path just under the bridge. This is one of the few parks where dogs are aloud to run free in Bonn so it can be quite crowded on sunny days.

On Sunday mornings from 10am to 2pm this place offer a generous Brunch buffet for 10 Euros. They have both outdoor and indoor seating but most popular during the summer season having a view over the Rhein.
This place I can recommend for Sunday Brunches but otherwise the service can be quite slow.
