Dellz Uptown has been voted the "Best Vegetarian/Vegan Restaurant" in South Carolina! To emphasize how delicious their menu is I'll tell you that I am not Vegan or Vegetarian and this is one of my favorite spots to frequent! They also have meat friendly options so that everyone can be happy with a trip here! Small and quaint with only enough seating for around 15 people you may want to order ahead, pick up your order, and go have a picnic on Marion Square or at Battery Park!

Bertha's Kitchen has some of the best "Soul Food" in Charleston! The best part is it is walking distance from The Cottage! Pick out fresh corn bread, fried chicken that just came out of the fryer, and some of their award winning Okra Soup and you'll be in comfort food heaven. Almost entirely known by locals it's low key atmosphere is perfect for grabbing a meal in sweat pants and a tee shirt. Only open Monday-Friday 11am-6pm. Not open on Saturday or Sunday.
