This place showcases the glassmaking heritage of my city. You can even blow your own glass items. It's ideally located right by the river and is perfect to walk to from my house on a nice day. Stop in the café for a nice coffee and a bite to eat.

The only place in the North East to see the London West End shows on tour. There is nearly always a great event on at this beautiful historic theatre and it is well worth a visit.

Fine Asian cuisine right on the seafront. This new restaurant is very popular due to it's location and good service. Expect to pay a little extra for this, but enjoy a great experience.

Quite simply the best ice cream parlour in the North East.
This area of Seaham also has great walks along the coastline, good on a sunny day.

Sightseeing
What Sunderland is all about in my opinion - the beautiful coastline! Whatever you do if you stay at my place you must visit the beach area!
Also watch out for the fantastic Sunderland International Airshow - the biggest weekend airshow in the UK. Usually takes place near the end of July.

Durham is a beautiful historic city with a fantastic and famous cathedral. It's a good idea for a day out in the North East.
