For a 3k hike leave the house and turn right, follow the street and walk straight into the park, make a big loop around the big pond and a half loop around the small pond and then turn east (left) to exit the park on the street 'Holsbeeksesteenweg'. Cross the road and go straight into the tree lined path 'Kloosterdijkpad'. Turn right at the end and enter the domain of the Abbey. Have a drink in 'de Rozenkrans' and walk back home taking the gated exit next to 'de Rozenkrans' and walk +/- straight through the neighborhood before you turn right into your street.
