A friend of ours described this place as the best South East Indian food she had tried outside of the region itself....she was right, looks a little drab from the outside, decor inside is decidedly dated, but the food and the price more than makes up for it. Try the Dosa, if you are really hungry, its a delight and a challenge due to its size all at the same time! Cheap, cheery and damn good!

Best pizza in town, they also have a larger restaurant over in Hove, but the homely feel and wood fired oven here make it a real gem. At time of writing they feed the kids for free (check on this before you order though as it may change!) which makes it great value, but frankly its worth it even if you have to pay for the kids as well!

10 Church RdThis is a real find, from the outside its just a simple Asian supermarket, walk through the doors and head past the shop to a hidden tiny restaurant out the back serving some fantastic Thai food, cheep, cheerful, authentic and, well..... just charming - try it if you can.
Its pricey, its loved by Brightons foodie set, its chef was on the Great British Menu, you will probably need to book. we have been there and enjoyed it - give it a go but take a your wallet!

Quirky as hell with fantastic coffee and great snacks. Hidden away near the famous Brighton Lanes, pop in, kick back and enjoy the coffee. If its warm go out the back and revel in the unique setting they have to offer

Lovely local bar and only a few minutes walk from the house. Central and a great place to start an evening, nearly always quiet and relaxed despite its central location. Great food as well.

Sightseeing
Take a trip up to the Marina and wander round looking at all of the boats you would love to buy, you may see fishermen bringing in their haul if you are lucky! Plenty of inexpensive restaurants to drop in on for lunch or dinner. Make sure you take a walk along one of the Marina arms for some great views of the pier or from the other side the beautiful cliffs towards Beachy Head
