Food Scene

Sylvester's is located in what was once the home of Sylvester Graham. The building is known as the Sylvester Graham Building . He lived in this building in the 1800 's and was responsible for the Graham Cracker. He was a strong proponent of the use of unbleached flour which at the time became known as graham flour. He advocated the making of bread at home because he believed that the bakeries ' use of preservatives and white flour was not good for the body. TODAY Sylvester's is a popular restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and brunch. We bake all our own breads, muffins, pies, coffeecakes and banana breads. MOSTLY, Sylvester's caters to anyone who can appreciate good food. Dr. Sylvester Graham would agree! Today, people flock to his house to eat our home-cooked meals at Sylvester's Restaurant.

Drinks & Nightlife

Ranked by Buzzfeed 'The #1 bar in America to drink at before you die' 1. The Tunnel Bar — Northampton, Massachusetts “The Tunnel Bar is built underground in an old pedestrian tunnel. The arched stone walls, sleek bar, and big, comfy chairs make it the ideal place for a classy evening out. I’d kill to go back there.”
