Over 100 acres of beautiful parkland with a large ornamental lake with a range of sports facilities and kids' play areas. Adjacent to the Cathedral and Verulamium Museum. Look out for the 1800-year old hypocaust. If you're here in November, don't miss the spectacular bonfire night firework display - reputed to be one of the largest and best in the country.

One of the hidden gems of St Albans but rarely open. Check the website for details: http://www.stalbansorgantheatre.org.uk Currently open in the afternoon of second Sunday's of the month and some Saturday evening concerts. Well worth visiting if you can - I've not come across anything else like it.
