Walk to and around the rose gardens, in flower Nov-March/April,...or jog there,...and continue down the hill to Judges Bay for a swim at full tide, Dec-March. Carry on up the rise to the oldest, tiniest little wooden Anglican church in Auckland. It is open for service on Sundays 9 am..it has a little old cemetery around it....or simply sit under the big trees and look at the view across to the harbour. Our favourite go to place for a picnic!

Nice and warm in the winter! Check out the exotic flowers and plants. Go for a short fern walk. Head up to the museum for heaps of things to see. There's a kiosk by the duck ponds and/or a cafe at the museum.

Walk or bike along the footpath designated for both. Get some fresh air and exercise while taking in the stunning sea scenery. Stop for a swim or picnic at Okahu Bay or carry on a bit further past Kelly Tarlton's Waterworld and on to Bastion Point or (Michael Savage Park) for gorgeous views of the harbour. If you want to buy an ice cream, coffee, or a meal just take the path down the other side of the point to Mission Bay.
