Built in the early 1800's Elizabeth Bay House a beautiful mansion built by a wealthy government official that went bankrupt spending all his fortune on this beautiful house (more a palace). make sure you go inside ($15 adult tickets). There is one of (if not THE) most beautiful small parks right over the street, called Elizabeth Bay Park. This small park once formed part of the grounds of the Elizabeth Bay House estate. Bring a bottle of vino and a picnic basket and enjoy the sun while while the sailing boats pass by through Sydney Harbour in front of you.
