Think you're pretty fit, huh? Just wait till the locals go jogging by in their short shorts, barely breaking a sweat. Maps at the trailhead can show you the three different trails up Mt. Sanitas: steep, steeper, and steepest. It's only a couple miles to the summit, but good golly it feels like more than that. You'll suck wind, but the views from the top are worth it.

Maps at the trailhead can show you the three different trails up Mt. Sanitas: steep, steeper, and steepest. It's only a couple miles to the summit, but good golly it feels like more than that. You'll suck wind, but the views from the top are worth it.
Hiking for days and days. The big kahuna is Mt. Green, which is about 3.5 miles and a couple thousand feet of climbing from the trailhead, but there are a million other shorter, mellower loops. Great for a morning jog or sunset stroll.
