Amazing forest with a nice little bistro and playground for childern in the central park and planty of running trails. Always cool even in the middle of the summer. This one is not the beach and it's off the beaten path for tourists. 99% of people there will be locals.

The only national park in Istria and a great day trip. Just take the bus to Fažana (7km away) and from there a boat takes you to the island
