Food Scene
Its always nice to dine at The Lighthouse Inn with the stunning views of the lake right outside the big bold windows. Casual fine dining with great seafood and salad selections [I never order steak when I go out so I can't comment on the beef but I would expect it is just as satisfying as the seafood]. We have always had good service here as well. Friendly and welcoming.

They strive for fresh wholesome ingredients. Great beverage options. My favorite wrap is the Taco Salad Wrap. It has crunched up blue corn tortilla chips rolled in and it is so delicious. I had the Kickin Whisky Burger aka 1/3lb flame grilled beef with their Signature Kickin Whiskey sauce, smoky bacon, & pepperjack cheese. It was fantastic. Located on the East Twin River with outdoor seating including picnic tables near river. They have outdoor games like bean bags. Great place for families and friends. Owner was in the military and is in partnership with his uncle. Very personable.

Great place for martinis and fine dining in downtown Manitowoc. Within walking distance to the Maritime Museum. They have some incredible selections and although I don't usually order steak when I dine out, but their Sizzling Steak and Mushrooms caught my interest and it was indeed sizzling and was fantastic.

I have fond memories growing up, sometimes going there for Thanksgiving or Easter and having a family style feast, or when relatives were in town maybe we would all go gather out to eat and [the adults] have cocktails. Scott is a pleasant host and bartender and you would most likely have a very enjoyable experience and dinner.

This is another nice collection of historical buildings demonstrating old fashioned trades of pioneer days. Always a very enjoyable time.

This is the Two Rivers Visitors Center also. It was once an Opera House and the upstairs ceilings have been carefully restored and musical events have been again enjoyed up there. This unique structure will be needing some loving care so we hope you will go visit and see how cool it is and give a nice little donation if you are so inclined. The Washington House is home to Berner's Ice Cream Parlor which is known for 'inventing' the ice cream sundae. There is other rich local history on display at the Washington House plus friendly volunteers to help you get where you want to go in Two Rivers and surrounding areas. A great place to stop in.

Woodland Dunes Nature Center is a vast expanse of preserved wetland for the preservation of important habitat of migrating birds. There is a boardwalk into the marsh as well as many other interesting hiking trails. The Marsh Haus also offer many beneficial nature/natural experiences which includes learning about the frog chorus you hear while outside at certain times of the year, etc. There is also a Butterfly Garden. Woodland Dunes hosts many interesting events throughout the year.

Biking into Point Beach on the Rawley Point Recreational Trail is nice, & you can get a ice cream or deep fried cheese curds at the Pavilion which sits right on the beach. You can walk for miles and miles on that beach and it is fun to do.
