The nicest Starbucks in the surrounding area, literally. Very spacious and the staff are great. The Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins next door has better, plush seating and TV's that remain on the news if that's your type of work environment.

For the fancy eaters...this is a go-to in the Bronx Little Italy area. Pricey but so nice and delicious.

Parks & Nature
This is my favorite park from what I've discovered in the Bronx. Tennis courts, state of the art Track, basketball courts, small beach area (great for photoshoots), grills and huge space for grilling out or chilling out, free parking lot, hiking trail with monuments along the way.

Not far from the equestrian or City Island is a large beach/boardwalk. I personally don't like it but it's popular to many! FYI, my recommended beach is Rockaway. I believe it is the cleanest, nicest beach in NYC.

You could run/walk here if you wanted. There's a back entrance/parking near Boston Road.

Aside from the mall, you will find other shopping outlets and restaurants from Red Lobster, AMC movie theatre, Dallas BBQ, and more. There is a bus that takes you right to the door of the mall as well if you don't have a car.
