Ticket sale at Herbert von Karajan Platz opens Mon to Sat from 9am and closes one hour before the beginning of the performance. There's a one hour guided tour through the opera rooms for approx. 6,50€

One of my favorit spots in Schönbrunn! It can be visited without an entrance fee and it's not so croweded.
Who wants to rest in a quiet and romantic atmosphere, should search here for a free bench.

The obelisk is supported by 4 turtle sculptures standing on a pedestal. A grotto mountain with river gods is shown under the pedestal. The water falls with a loud roar in cascades from the river gods.
