Favorite park in the city (besides Central park of course). Beautiful views of the skyline. Just walk over the Brooklyn bridge and you'll be right there! For a truly spectacular view, go to the rooftop bar at "1 Hotel - Brooklyn Bridge." It's a $20 cover to go to the roof, but the cocktails at the bar on the 10th floor are amazing!

Walk from the apartment along the East River all the way to Battery Park. You'll pass by Pier 17 (which has a great view and bar - sponsored by Heineken). Grab sea food at any of the local places along the way (we recommend Fish Market if you're looking for a unique NYC experience). Once you reach Battery Park, you'll see stunning views with beautiful gardens and the Statue of Liberty in the distance. If you can keep walking, check out the World Trade Center memorial closeby!

This is our go-to place for really great inexpensive Thai food. Very closeby, and the staff is very nice. Try checking in on Yelp and you might get a free Thai Iced Tea!

This is the biggest chain grocery store nearby. Though you can buy many vegetables from the street markets in Chinatown, we like Whole Foods for other things we can't find elsewhere. They also have a bulk section and only use paper bags.
