Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, it's Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". This is my lovely home in the quiet East Neuk village of St Monans. It is on a quiet street on the east edge of the village, with views of the sea and just a minute's walk from the coast path. It is my home first and foremost, so if you are looking for a shiny and new, spotless, white rental home please don't be tempted here! Despite this, for an older house it is clean and airy, full of character and much-loved.
