The restored original staircase, hand carved heart shaped wood windows, original wood floors, cement tile floor, terrazzo floors, crown molding and of course molding from the art nouveau era, all of the asymmetrical shapes, arches, curved glass... are what make this home unique.

If you want to experience the history of Salvador first hand, then this romantic Colonial home from 1885 is a great option. The romance starts before entering the house with beach front balconies covered with flowery sculpted molding and hand carved heart shaped wood windows then continues inside with 12ft high ceilings, curved arched corridors, painted tile floors and a cast iron banister with a curved wood hand rail. All the style from the Art Nouveau period is on full display.
