Find a Country Feel in the City with Rural Views

Sit out in the backyard then come indoors to relish leafy views from a triple-aspect living room. The apartment has a cottage feel with window boxes and wooden fittings. A hanging plant, and white linens provide a calming feeling. Awake to the songs of birds and explore our 1/2 acre of fruit trees, vegetable beds, and landscape. Yet most of San Diego’s attractions are just 5 to 10 miles away. The new kitchen is included in your space so you can prepare your own meals if desired. Cooking equipment included are a convection toaster oven, coffee maker, hot pot, a microwave, and an induction plate, pots & pans, kitchen tools, cutlery and dishes. We also provide coffee, tea, sugar, salt & pepper, cooking oil, and ice. This space is attached to our main home but you’ll have your own separate entrance and private kitchen/ living, bed and bath. We'd love to greet you and show you around when you arrive, but if we happen to miss you will have your own unique door code to get in. We’ve prepared a binder of information for guests and can help you plan for best use of your time. However if you prefer to be on your own we’re fine with that too. We have walked to downtown or to the nearest trolley, but unless you are walkers and out for exercise, you will probably want a car. There are now lots of bikes available for rent, but it will be uphill to get back to the house. Some of our guests have chosen to rely only on Uber, in which case grocery and/or meal delivery are helpful. If you have an afternoon or evening flight you are welcome to store luggage at our house after your 10 AM check out. We are in a hilly residential area with stores, restaurants and bus/ trolley access about 2 miles away, so you'll have the most flexibility if you come by car. If you choose to Uber, you can order groceries or takeout meals to be delivered.

Experience a delightful getaway in this beautifully remodeled and centrally located guest suite. With its bright and inviting living space, it’s perfect for relaxation during the day and transforms into a cozy retreat at night. Sleeps up to four guests, the sofa easily converts into a full bed. Just 10-20 minutes from landmarks such as SDSU, Downtown, Little Italy, Gaslamp, San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld, Mission Bay, and concert venues. This is a 2nd floor unit, so guests will need to navigate stairs

Hidden gem studio!- ideal location, private entry

You’ll love this peaceful and centrally-located space, minutes from the heart of Vista’s bustling restaurant & microbrewery scene (5 min away) and the beaches of Oceanside and Carlsbad (15 min away). This one room attached studio has its own entrance, private bathroom, queen sized bed, full refrigerator, kitchen essentials (including toaster and microwave), TV with streaming capabilities, and original wood burning stove! Surrounded by trees and chirping birds, there’s no place better in Vista!

Winterwarm Cottage and wine tasting!

Winterwarm Cottage is the guest house of my rustic mini-farm. It offers a cozy, comfortable getaway and a chance to meet and mingle with a variety of friendly farm animals . Centrally located between the beaches and Temecula Wine Country, both an easy 30 minute drive away, and right around the corner from the Fallbrook Winery. Included in your stay of 3 days or more can be a complimentary wine tasting at the beautiful Fallbrook Winery, ($40 value) or with a 2 day stay, a 2 for 1 tasting.

MIKE'S PLACE - A PRIVATE COTTAGE

The cottage features full amenities that include: Tempurpedic™ queen-size bed. Wi-Fi, Smart TV, air conditioning, refrigerator, microwave, wet bar, coffee maker, toaster, and iron. Window seat for sitting, reading or lounging. Private entrance and patio connecting to a courtyard and Japanese garden. Spacious bathroom with 12 foot high tiled shower. French doors open to a private sitting area. If the days are booked in the cottage we might have an opening at, Mikes House and Garden.

Dog friendly in heart of Hillcrest

This is a dog friendly home with no extra dog fees and a great backyard that is strictly yours and your pups to enjoy. Airbnb calls it a guest suite but it is one room that is attached to the back of my house with private entrance, deck, private bath, microwave, frig, keurig machine with pods (no kitchen) and one free off street parking space big enough to fit a Ford F-150 trucK. There is some highway noise outside but windows are double-paned, so quiet inside. Smoking is fine outside.

La Jolla Oceanfront Serenity Suite

Beside a pocket park on the edge of the Pacific ocean, this La Jolla Airbnb with 595 sq. ft patio offers salty air from the ocean about 100' away with fascinating tide pools. Too dangerous for kids here, sorry, but room for surfboards and bicycles, and your spa awaits. No beach access. Must scramble down park path to the stony shore, but a sandy beach one quarter mile away. En suite/king bed, dog fee $55 per night; 20% discount on that day if you hear potential construction noise

Kensington Classic/Historic Tudor - Fully Licensed

This 1927 historically designated home with ties to old Hollywood is located in the charming and classical area known as Kensington. This beautiful 2 Bedroom 1 bath (upstairs) ensuite unit along with the downstairs family room is 1/2 of a private historic home in which the host resides. Your unit is secured with a locked door for your privacy. We are a short drive to major attractions in the San Diego area and public transportation is quick easy walk from our home.

Oceanfront La Jolla Cove Studio-2025 Remodeled

The room has a private entrance. It's ideally located in a residential area of Ocean Beach. 5 blocks to the beach, OB pier, and 2 blocks to village life, shops & restaurants. It has a queen bed, a small private bathroom with a shower, a fridge, TV, Wifi, microwave, etc. Guests will love the location and privacy! Beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, etc. are available for your enjoyment. Enjoy the great ocean view from the backyard.
