Altares a las Montañas

This traditional Oaxacan house, that has four beds, was handcrafted by local artisans in exquisite adobe walls, a shading porch, furnishings and decor. It nestles in gardens of trees and blooming succulents. Guests enjoy multiple level terraces, hammocks, an outside dining area, a 22-meter lap pool and spectacular mountain views. We are in a Zapotec town with nearby restaurants and have easy transportation to Oaxaca city (20 minutes). We offer tours to villages and archaeological sites.

The private heated pool awaits for a relaxing swim after a full day exploring ruins or touring the nearby pueblos! Lachigolo is a small and peaceful pueblo, about a 15-minute drive from Oaxaca along the Pan American Highway, and around 5 minutes past El Tule. The location makes it a good base for day trips to places like Hierve al Agua, Teotitlan, and Mitla.

This beautiful house is located 25 minutes away by car from Oaxaca’s city downtown, and 5 minutes walking to the “Tule” tree on the way to many tourist sites like: Teotitlán del Valle (famous town for it’s wool rugs), archaeological areas as Mitla, and great places where you can try a lot of Mezcales.
