This vintage forest cabin is perched above our pristine mountain stream, set amidst a highly diverse indigenous botanical forest wetland.The cabin is entirely private with a large deck and extensive views of both mountain peaks. Hand built by owner over a period of two years, with hardwood floors throughout, hand waxed with beeswax polish from our own hives. "Bird Song" private getaway, tucked away in nature

"Bird Song" is named after the host of bird calls that greet you each morning (and the night jars that you hear after dark). It is the perfect 'private bush camp' for a ‘family-of-4’ vacation or for a secluded ‘get-away-from-it-all retreat’ for couples. The architect designed timber structure is set on a slope with views through and over the fynbos and right at the edge of pristine Indigenous Forest. A wood fired fireplace ensures you are (relatively) warm in winter.

The cottage has electricity 24 hours a day, even during loadshedding and backup water supply. The cottage is modern and cozy and comfortable. Set in a green leafy lane, the bird life is abundant and the atmosphere relaxing. Perfect for business travelers and vacation travelers. There is fibre, even during load shedding for uninterrupted work. Secure parking on the property. Hosts are usually on the property to assist if necessary but allow guests total privacy.
