Granny Woman Healer House

Granny Women healers of early Appalachia used herbs, common sense, Celtic spells, prayer, moonshine, and the King James Bible to heal all ailments. Based on long oral traditions and reconstructed on the spot were Granny Woman O'Clery's husband built a tiny cabin before being killed in a Indian attack. The cabin still holds all the healing powers of a restorative getaway in rustic luxury. Seamless convergence of inside/outside living and central to all modern Roanoke has to offer. Come by ya'll.

On The Rocks lake lodge has wide water lake and mountain views like no other! Great for a large group with an open kitchen and living room, a large dining room table for your entire party to sit, and a covered porch with exceptional views where you will feel right on the water. Our cabin is built out of old wood and doors found on the farm. Because I am such a cold natured person, I installed heated floors and a heated towel bar in addition to the mini-split and electric fireplace! The cabin is surrounded by pastures that are the home to our cows, horses, goats, pot belly pig, and chickens. The highlight of a stay at BWJ Cabin would be to sit on the front porch in a rocking chair, day bed swing or hot tub looking out over the landscape and do nothing.
