The deserted Dookinella stone village still stands in the field nextdoor. Keel village is a 5-minute drive with restaurants, local butcher selling Achill lamb and fisherman selling from boat. Located within 30 minutes of Ballycroy National Park and Ceide Fields, 9 miles to Belmullet town, 2 miles off the Wild Atlantic Way coast road. An ideal base for ramblers, cyclists, fishing, water sports or just getting away from it all.

Cosy Cottage

Kick back and relax in this calm, cosy space in the rolling countryside and just a 40 minute drive from Knock Airport. For something more lively there’s Westport and Castlebar, with their shops, bars and the beautiful coastline and beaches of the Wild Atlantic Way. The 2 friendly cats, Muffin and Bruce, prefer to live outside but like to say hello. When not away working, I stay in a chalet on a separate piece of land close by but not overlooking the cottage. I do respect guest privacy.

This little oasis is positioned on a south facing hill, overlooking a wide expanse of valley, tucked away from everything but yet a 5min drive from Westport Town. A wood-fired hot tub sits on the spacious deck, overlooking the valley. After bathing in the hot tub make your way up the external staircase to the balcony (which connects to the bedroom), where you can relax in the hammock and take in the amazing views.

It’s just 5 minutes drive to the Village of Bangor Erris which has a supermarket, Pharmacy post office ,pubs with traditional music nights on occasionAlso takeaway /restaurant .It offers a real taste of rural Ireland .The Bangor trail , and Owenmore river with its wild Atlantic salmon and sea trout is one of its many attractions.

This is a renovated cottage located in a lovely rural area in North Mayo, it is just a few miles outside Ballycastle town on the wild Atlantic coast. The views of the sea are spectacular and the cottage provides a space to relax in after a day sightseeing the local area (you will need a car to get around). The cottage is on a working farm but other than the sound of sheep there will be nothing to disturb the peace and quiet you will experience in this beautiful cottage.
