A rod fee applies. You can keep 1 fish per rod (subject to meeting size requirements), after that it’s catch and release. Sleeps up to 6 people in 3 bedrooms - 2 x double beds, 2x single beds. Sam's Pad, Timberlea Farm

Sam's pad consists of a self contained "granny flat" nestling under the Amathole Mountains, offering - peace and tranquillity. There is a farmer's market every three months where one can purchase a variety of things from clothing to aloes. The granny flat has its own entrance, parking space, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower. We live next door and can supply home made bread, rusks, fresh farm eggs or leave you undisturbed. There is no load shedding because we are on solar power

Thomas River Tavern is 15 min away where one can enjoy scrumptious meals, view antiques or have a swim in the swimming pool.

Gryffin Cottage at Hog Warts Forest

Gryffin Cottage is a charming self-catering cottage set on one of the oldest properties in Hogsback. The main bedroom with an en-suite bathroom sleeps two people in a king-size bed and has the possibility of a single bed for couples travelling with one child. The cozy loft right under the thatch roof sleeps two people. The kitchen is fully equipped for travelers preparing their own meals and an open fire place guarantees to warm everyone up during the cold winter days and nights.

Wild Fox Hill eco-cabin

My cozy yet spacious rustic eco-cabin is nestled in a beautiful natural setting with spectacular mountain views and is well positioned to enjoy beautiful morning and afternoon light. Watch the full moon rise over the Hogsback mountains, enjoy dazzling sunsets or a large bonfire under the stars. It is a perfect place for couples seeking a relaxing and romantic weekend, a family or friendship getaway or a place to work (wifi reception is good and there is a large worktable).

Hornbills Forest Cottages

Hornbills Forest Cottages is situated about 5 kilometres out of Stutterheim on the edge of the Amatola Mountains and the beautiful Afro Montaine Forest. The area is quiet and peaceful. Yellowwood Cottage has two bedrooms with three beds in each room, a lounge with fireplace and DSTV and a kitchenette. The cottage has lovely views of the forest which is across the stream on the edge of our garden. There is a walking trail in the forest with access to the main forest trails.

The Bunny Burrow

This is one of our most popular cottages. It sleeps two, but can sleep 3 if need be. The cottage was built up from an old pool and has so much character! The sunken lounge and kitchen, along with the loft-style bedroom make this the perfect cottage for a couple wanting to get away. It is fully equipped and offers a beautiful little fireplace for those cold nights on the mountain. With a breathtaking view, it's no wonder it's so popular! Unique and tranquil getaway.

Shire Eco Lodge

The Shire will captivate you with its innovative design and magnificent setting. These luxury chalets rest on the edge of the indigenous Xholora forest in the Amatola Mountains, just a stream’s hop from the enchanted home of many rare species of plants, birds and butterflies.
