The building has undergone a few changes since then but was re-established as a boutique style art hotel in 2013.The hotel is owned and operated by Tassie locals with emphasis on creating an enjoyable,affordable and artistic space suitable for world travellers and inter state visitors alike.The Alabama offers something much more interesting than your standard hotel or motel because it is unique,sincere,a little quirky and a whole lot special.

Hawley House (c.1878) is an idiosyncratic boutique hotel in a beautiful setting, overlooking the national park and Rubicon River and with frontage to Hawley Beach. Featuring spectacular views, tranquil gardens & authentic history, on a 350 acre estate.
