The Bloomingdale Trail is a 2.7-mile elevated rail trail linear park running east–west on the northwest side of Chicago. It is the longest greenway project of a former rail line in the Western Hemisphere, and the second longest in the world. We love riding our bikes on this trail and seeing nice views of the different parts of the city.

Great inner city trail for a walk, run, or bike ride. Extremely close proximity to the far west end of the trail. Head east for trip through Logan Square and bordering neighborhoods Wicker Park and Humboldt Park, ending in the Bucktown neighborhood.

A former elevated railroad turned walking/biking trail. The trail runs from Ridgeway on the west to Ashland Avenue on the east. The closest entry point is on Humboldt Boulevard about 2 blocks south.

(aka The Bloomingdale Trail) This elevated 2.7 mile long park is a walking/bike path that takes you through 4 neighborhoods: Bucktown, Wicker Park, Logan Square and Humboldt Park. Mozart Manor is just to the west of the center of the park. There’s an entrance at 1750 N California which is just one block South of Cortland. When you turn right onto CA, you can see an overpass and that’s it! It’s kind of like a freeway with entrances and exits that run the length of the park. There are also 5 satellite parks that spin off of the 606. It can get crowded on the weekend, esp if it’s nice, but it’s def worth checking out. If you exit where the arched bridge is (Milwaukee Ave) or a bit further on Damen, you’re steps from the center of Wicker Park, which is a fun neighborhood with a ton of cool shops (Damen esp!) I LoVe the Trail, even when it's busy. Just remember, stay to the right. :-)
