This is a great place to visit and was one of the first fort in America named after General Henry Knox. Make sure to grab tickets for the observatory. The view cannot be missed.

Historic beautiful Fort Knox, and the Penobscot Observatory, the tallest bridge observatory in the world. A great little trip about 30 minute drive from your stay, down to Bucksport and Prospect Maine
