The church of San Martino is considered the small "Sistina" of Lombardy, its Baroque ceiling of 1697, and all the pictorial adornment of the late '500, make it a small jewel of Lombard painting. It is located in the small village of Castello, rich in history, art and nature.

Castello is a charming hillside village with spectacular views of Lake Lugano. The church is an unexpected surprise with it’s gorgeous frescoes. Always check church opening times. Not suitable for anyone unstable on their feet
