If you're coming to Metro Detroit in the fall, I'd recommend going to one of the local Cider Mills. It wasn't until I moved to Florida for a few years that I really appreciated these Michigan treats. My favorite Cider Mill is Yates. The Cider Mill has something for everyone. Walking trails, fresh Apple Cider, warm Cinnamon Donuts, pumpkins, a petting zoo, and Donut Ice Cream Sundaes! Yes - I said DONUT ICE CREAM SUNDAES!! I really enjoy going to the Cider Mill. They're usually busiest on the Weekends, but it's a fun and friendly afternoon filled with people walking their dogs, feeding the ducks in the creek, eating sweets, and seeing the beautiful fall colors of Michigan.

A historic treasure --- dating back to 1863 and one of the oldest running businesses in the state of Michigan! This is a must see and it's only 5 minutes away. (Cider Mill doughnuts cannot be beat!)

Yates Cider Mill – Enjoy delicious cider the old-fashioned way. Yates has been a Michigan landmark for over six generations. Offering much more than cider and donuts in the fall months, guests can grab their cider and donuts and enjoy strolling their river walk this spring.
