Everybody knows where La Gioconda is: Paris, Louvre. Fewer people knows where Leonardo’s fresco, The Last Supper, is in Milan. The masterpiece of Leonardo da Vinci, located in Santa Maria delle Grazie church, has been closed to visitors for a very long time. When Milan was bombed by the allies after Nazi’s occupation, it was somehow a good rumor for Milanese people that the fresco was still standing. A good sign. After the war restaurations works begun but the result didn’t satisfied the art world and for the rest of the century well into the 2000, one of the most famous scene in the world has been considered ruined or simply lost.

The famous restored last supper by Leonardo da Vinci does not need introduction at all. You just have to go and admire it. Reservation is a must.
