This extensive trail system goes from New Haven, CT up to Westfiield, MA. It can be crowded in some spots, especially when the weather is nice, but if you go north of Simsbury, you will have plenty of trail to yourself.

The Canal Trail is a biking trail that cuts through much of Connecticut. It runs right through our neighborhood. If you go to Fussy Coffee, you can find it right behind the cafe and bike or walk right into town. This part of the trail is nice, because it takes you right by a park, Yale buildings and you land right on the very beautiful street of Hillhouse Ave.

The Farmington Canal Heritage Trail is long and has some really pretty spots. If you brought your bike, enjoy its full length. It is also suitable for walking. There are parking spots if you wish to drive to the entry points.
