Monthly Talk Story on the Saturday nearest the Full Moon. It's FREE and it's unique. Starts early, 5:30 PM, often with very well-known local musicians. Hula and stories about kid-time/hanabata days, or just last year. Bring a picnic and a beach chair. Check online for exact date if the moon is full mid-week.

If you are lucky enough to be here on the Saturday nearest full moon head over to the Eva Parker Woods Cottage near the Kalahuipua'a fish ponds. Starting at six there's a free program of Hawaiian music presented by local musicians. They play and "talk story" which is Hawaiian slang for visiting and exchanging stories, ideas, or news. It's free. Bring your own food and drink. Bring your chairs and picnic basket and stake out your claim at 4:00, then go back to the beach club till the fun starts around 5:30.

Sister resort to the Fairmont Orchid. Good resort beach. Check out the unique Full Moon Sat. night "talk story" evening picnic on the bluff.
