Continental Rd, Warwick, NY - This hike traverses a two-mile section of the famous Appalachian Trail. From the parking area, cross Route 17A and follow the white blazes of the A.T. into the woods. Almost immediately, you'll notice a blue-blazed side trail on the left. Turn left and follow this trail, which leads in about 1,000 feet to the Hawk Watch platform. There is a southbound trailhead located on the Continental Road side of 17A. This hike will take you towards Prospect Rock and has spectacular views of Greenwood Lake. Bellvale Farms Creamery is also located in this area.

Did you know... the first section of the Appalachian Trail opened in Warwick in 1931, six years before the official opening of the entire Appalachian Trail? The Town has been welcoming hikers ever since and was named an A.T. Community™ in 2012.
