For walking and cycling enthusiasts, this is a wonderful walk. You can drive through La Marjal, which is known as a beautiful nature reserve In summer, I recommend you to make this walk at the beginning or at the end of the day

Beautiful natural wetlands with many indigenous species of birds along the river. Bar restaurant at Font Salada mineral pool which is a natural small lake fed with mountain mineral water. Swim with the fishes

Rice paddies. Surprised? Think about it... paella rice came from somewhere and it was not China. Surrounded by reeds and apparently, though it is not my thing bird watching paradise.

The wetlands of Pego-Oliva are situated between the provinces of Alicante and Valencia. More than 1,250 ha area made out of reed beds, rice fields and lagoons crossed by a network of rivers, irrigation canals and channels, which form a natural area of great wealth and productivity.
