Check out the 'other side of the river'. Park and town square are reminiscent of a by-gone era for an old River town. While you are there, check out the old main street. Nice bars .

Bayliss Park is located at 100 Pearl Street in Council Bluffs and is the jewel of our downtown. The park is approximately four-acres in size and is host to the Farmers Market on Thursday afternoons. In partnership with Pottawattamie Arts Culture Entertainment (PACE), we host Movies and Music in the park from June 12 to July 26.

Monuments, sculptures, memorials and walking around park. Park is in downtown area near restaurants, etc. Spring/summer hosts farmers market. Hint: go in daylight early afternoon to enjoy it at its finest. I did picnic dinner there once by myself and, like most cities, the parks become a homeless magnet for the evening. No one that was aggressive, I just didn't want to have to deal with it by myself. The beauty of the park and the old "city square" feel worth the trip if you're looking for a relaxing afternoon -downtime.
