If you want to visit Padstow but don't fancy driving round the estuary or cycling the Camel Trail from Wadebridge then you can drive to Rock and park and then get the ferry over to Padstow. The ferry runs all day and you don't need to book. As the tide goes out the location of the ferry moves further down the beach, so there is sometimes a few minutes walk along the beach to get to it. Just make sure you don't miss the last ferry in the evening.
