Stroll along the canal. Freezes solid in winter to become the world's largest skating ring. Is bustling with boats in the summer. You can catch a canal cruise boat on the section nearest the Chateau Laurier/Byward Market.

Rent a bike and ride it across the canal during the day or go for a romantic late night walk. Skating available during the winter only! Beautiful view of Parliament hill and Fairmount hotel can be seen.
