Hossegor is one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe and the home of French surf culture. Although surfing originated in Biarritz in the 1950s, Hossegor is now the French surfing mecca and is widely recognised as having the best beach breaks in Europe if not the world. People visit Hossegor to surf, relax and enjoy the beach. There is also a fantastic selection of cafes and restaurants serving up tasty French and world cuisine. In the summer the night life is lively and you will often find live music as well as pop up food and drink huts along the beach. If you are visiting Hossegor for the first time, you will undoubtedly return!
