My buddy Gregorio is the head chef here, so whenever I’m in town, I always make time to get to Nobu. There are a couple of signature dishes, like the yellowtail sashimi with jalapeno or the spicy tuna on rice, but they also have great salads—I love their mushroom salad. I just go in and gorge myself on food, then go into a food coma afterwards. If you can, book a seat on the outside deck—the waves are breaking right underneath you, and they’ve got heaters, so it’s not a big deal if it's winter.

Nobu is pricey but always fun and usually you will see a celebrity or two... excellent sushi, excellent cocktails overlooking the ocean

Nobu Bar for an early cocktail! Or splurge for an excellent dinner. ** Reservations recommended or wing it at the bar. It’s a must do - stunning ocean view and people/ car watching. Get the off-menu crispy tuna rice cakes. ** (Combo a starting cocktail at Nobu, take a walk to the pier and have dinner at The Carbon Club or Malibu Pier Restaurant)
